Some love stories begin with a chance meeting. Others are arranged. Ours began in kindergarten with one shy but fierce girl and one old soul in a kids body, yes even at the age of 6 years.We both grew up in the small town of Mena, Arkansas, where everyone knows everyone, and our paths have crossed for as long as we can remember. We were childhood classmates, high school friends, and briefly teenage sweethearts. But life has a funny way of bringing people back together at just the right time.For years, Emily was the person Blade could always count on, whether it was helping out with Jake’s Fireworks or just being the friend who showed up when it mattered. But it wasn’t until Blade moved to Fayetteville that sparks truly started to fly again. Ironically, it was distance that brought us closer. Every weekend, we traded off traveling 150 miles to see one another, and before long, our friendship had grown into something deeper.The miles couldn’t keep us apart, and eventually, Blade asked the question Emily had been waiting for. With a “yes,” our next chapter began. Emily made the move to Northwest Arkansas, and together we’ve built a life in our first home in Springdale.Today, Blade works at Milestone Construction while Emily is pursuing her passion in the dental field as she interviews to become a dental assistant. But beyond the careers and busy schedules, what matters most is the simple joy we’ve found in doing life together, with Max of course, our German Shephard! From small-town roots to new adventures ahead, our story has only just begun.We’ve known each other nearly our whole lives, but saying “I do” will be the start of something entirely new: our forever.
